호반아트리움은 호반문화재단이 처음으로 선보인 복합 문화 예술 공간으로, 2018년부터 2022년까지 경기도 광명에서 운영되었습니다. ‘아트리움’은 고대 로마 건축에서 유래된 중앙 정원을 의미하는 건축 용어로, 이 공간은 ‘함께 경험하는 예술’을 지향합니다. 정적인 미술관의 형태를 넘어, 관람자가 직접 체험하는 예술을 강조하며, 공연을 비롯해 일상의 변화를 위한 다양한 클래스와, 오감을 활용한 어린이 교육 프로그램까지 다채로운 문화 예술 활동을 제공합니다. 이러한 특성을 통해 호반아트리움은 방문객들에게 친근하고 오래 머물고 싶은 공간으로 자리 잡았습니다.

호반아트리움은 지역 사회와 예술계를 연결하는 중요한 플랫폼 역할을 하였으며, 예술과 문화의 발전에 기여하는 다양한 기회를 마련하였습니다. 지난 4년 동안, 이 공간은 지역 사회에 긍정적인 문화적 영향을 미치며 예술가들에게 중요한 전시와 공연의 기회를 제공했으며, 대중에게는 풍성한 문화적 경험을 선사하였습니다.

현재 호반아트리움의 역할은 과천으로 이전되어, 예술가와 관객 간의 새로운 만남의 장을 제공하고 있습니다. 호반문화재단은 앞으로도 지역 사회의 문화적 풍요로움을 더하고, 더욱 혁신적이고 다양한 경험을 제공할 수 있도록 지속적으로 노력할 것입니다. 

Hoban Artrium was the first integrated cultural and artistic space introduced by the Hoban Cultural Foundation, operating in Gwangmyeong, Gyeonggi Province, from 2018 to 2022. The term "Artrium" originates from the architectural concept of the Atrium in ancient Roman architecture, meaning a central garden. True to this inspiration, this space aims to be 'art we experience together'. Beyond the traditional static museum, Hoban Artrium emphasized interactive art experiences. It provided a diverse cultural and artistic program, including performances, lifestyle enrichment classes, and sensory-based educational programs for children. Through these, Hoban Artrium became a welcoming space where visitors want to stay longer. 

Hoban Artium has become an important connecting the local community and the art world, creating opportunities that contributed to the growth of culture and the arts. Over four years, we left a meaningful cultural impact, providing artists with valuable opportunities for exhibitions and performances while offering the public enriching cultural journeys.

Now, Hoban Artrium has been relocated to Gwacheon, providing a new space for meaningful encounters between artists and audiences. The Hoban Cultural Foundation is committed to fostering cultural vitality in the community and will continue striving to explore more innovative and diverse experiences.
